Romantic, but affordable weekend trip for wedding anniversary ideas?
My husband and I will have been married on year this August, and want to take an affordable, but romantic weekend trip. We live in Wisconsin. Any suggestions or ideas? I would like to keep it under $500.

You can stay on budget if you only book one night in the hotel. If you book two nights you’ll never be able to stay on budget.
Book a really nice room in Chicago. Any 4 star hotel will do. DO NOT go cheap. Find a nice hotel and pay for it. Use Hotwire for great rates. Go to a great restaurant for dinner. Treat yourself. Again, DO NOT go cheap. Then go see a good show. Stage play or concert, where ever your interests lie. Go out for a few drinks after the show and then retire back to the deluxe accompdations for some romance.
Order room service for breakfast.
