MARRIED COUPLES and SINGLES? Has anyone or does anyone know of someone who has had a?
Poconos destination wedding or a destination wedding someplace else? If so, how did it turn out? I have a couple close family members who want to stay a day or two before or after the ceremony. We also have 2 children that we want to include. I was thinking about booking a room at one of the family oriented resorts for the family, but I also want to spend time with my future hubby. I had already booked a honeymoon package for us months ago at the Roman Towers. But now my plans for a big wedding have changed and I want to get married AND honeymoon in the Pocono’s. Any suggestions on how I can pull this off and have a fabulous time? I know I need to just pick up the phone and call the reservation line, but it’s nothing like first hand advice and knowledge. Just wanted some insight from those of you who have had a destination wedding before with family and friends. Any help is appreciated.
I did a destination wedding in Cuba and the Superclubs six years ago *(i live in Canada) and I wouldn’t trade it for the world aside from the dress. I had a fabulous traditional dress (wedding plans changed but dress was already paid for) with train and all but it was soooo bloody hot in it, I’d of chosen more of a slip dress if I were to do it all over again.
I went to our local travel agent to make the arrangements and cancelled all of our otherwise booked wedding, I lost money but I did get some of my deposits back, you just need to check into that, it might not be all but a percentage back.
My biggest regret is not doing it first in the first place, it is really a great way to get wed!
