Mixed birth dates, going on a cruise?
I’m going on a cruise next month with Norweigian cruise line and I just checked in online. There were many mix ups with the birth dates (ex: 10/5/1997 became 10/9/1997) I was wondering if it mattered because 10/5/1997 is what it says on the passport. I just edited it on the website, but I’m scared we won’t be able to get on the cruise… Is the birthday on the ticket?
Norwegian, as well as all of the other cruise lines, request that all passengers log into their web site and complete the registration at least 3 days before departure. Those without internet access receive hard copy forms to complete and mail back to the cruise line. When you do that you create the permanent record of passengers on the cruise which will be given to Homeland Security officials (Customs and Immigration). The information that you enter on line must match what you present at check in. So that is your opportunity to correct the spelling of a name, a date of birth, country of citizenship, a passport number, and/or a mailing address.
If you were able to correct the dates of birth, and any other errors, on line you will be fine when you arrive at the pier to check in.
