Is it cheaper to book last minute for a Xmas/New Years vacation?

We’re looking to head to an all-inclusive resort for the end of December.
Doesn’t have to include Christmas, but we want to be there for New Years.
Right now (beginning of November) prices are astronomical.
If we keep waiting, will prices go down closer to the date we want to leave, even though it’s holiday time that we want to go?

Not at all. If you wait until the last minute, you will find an _extremely_ limited choice of places – there may not be any rooms available at all, in fact.

In any case, if there are still available places, if any resort offers lower prices, it will most likely be for the crummier rooms and packages that no one wanted in the first place.

Unfortunately, if you want to go, you should book sooner. not later.
