Mexican Riviera Cruise shore excursions?
My husband and I are going on a Mexican Riviera cruise with Carnival cruise line to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlaan. I was wondering if it’s worth it to spend money to go on shore excursions or if there is enough to do without spending the money them. Are there nearby beaches to the port where the ship will dock so that we can just hang out on the beach and rent kayaks or jet skis? and any shopping and restaurants close by so that we can just walk? We mainly just want a relaxing vacation on the beach. And if we do decide to go on a shore excursion is it better to book with the Cruise line because they can be pricey…or can I find better deals off the ship? Thanks for any answers.
We feel that paying to see what we already paid to travel to is a waste. We always make or own excursion, that way you can see what you want and the walking is a great way to keep off the extra pound from all the great food you eat! All three of these ports are easy to walk and shop or just beach comb. Last time in Cabo, we went to Cabo Wabo and ran into Sammy Hagar, Had a drink at the bar with him and got pictures taken(not a big fan but it was too cool) Wouldn’t get that on a ships tour! Go have fun and a cocktail for me. ENJOY!!!!!
