MSC Fantasia- Tell me about the food!?
Im going on the MSC Fantasia on a cruise to the Mediterranean later this year. Ive been looking into reviews on it and have found bad reviews about the food. FOOD is a huge part of cruises!
I read that the buffet isn’t open all the time like on cruises in the US. is this true? When is it open?
Also, are there ice cream machines or is it only gelatto for charge?
PLEASE tell me about what you experienced on the MSC Fantasia!!!
Thanks!!
MSC are a growing brand in Europe and now further afield and they are starting to cater more and more for international markets. Don’t forget that MSC are an Italian cruise line and so Italian is a big influence on board in terms of decoration and food etc. This is one explanation as to why some of the reviews are so negative. I would imagine that most of the reviews you have read will be written by British cruisers, and being British myself, I can admit our biggest fault is that we like British things and are difficult to please when it comes to anything foreign! Mediterranean food is different to British food in terms of flavours, style of food and the way it is eaten. Therefore what the Brits name as bad food is actually just different! You need to go on your cruise with an open mind and the desire to try something different and you will be pleasantly surprised. Fantasia is one of MSC’s newest ships and is absolutely fantastic! Enjoy!!!
