What is best luxury ‘relaxed’ cruise liner and best time of year to go on full transit Panama Canal trip?
Want to take my hubby on surprise birthday cruise – full transit – luxury but not QM pressure and would appreciate any information on liners, decks, what to do, where to go, where not to go etc.
Princess, Crystal, Celebrity. Crystal being the most expensive but fewer passengers. More personalized service high end service. Celebrity usually more of a mature crowd, quiet ship. Princess, well managed, great food, a good blend of passengers. The cruise lines have a specific schedule for the Panama Canal, keep in mind they don’t go every month of the year. As far as deck, it depends upon what type of stateroom. We prefer a balcony near the top of the ship, between decks of passengers. Some prefer a stateroom that is close to activities and don’t mind which deck, they just don’t want to walk much. Where to go, so many options.
