Inexpensive getaway in Las Vegas for young couple?
My husband managed somehow to get next week off of work… we have a 2 1/2 year old, and another one on the way. We are hoping to have our first romantic get-away since before our son was born since we have the chance; however, we (like most 1 working parent homes) don’t have an abundance of money.
We’ve never been to Vegas, but always wanted to go. We don’t need anything fancy, just a clean comfy place to lay our heads for a couple days, that’s close enough to the fun (and the airport – we’re flying from California) to not need a rental car.
Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated — it’s been years since we’ve been alone together, and we’re kind of clueless about what to do.
There are so many places you can stay and pay very little money, you picked the perfect place for a weekend get-a-way. Now, you may not get much sleep, but just go and have fun!!!!

Treasure Island has a buffet (as most hotels do) However, they have a buffet between $12.00 to $20.00 depending on if you’re eating, breakfast, lunch of dinner. Often if you book more then a one nights stay, you’ll get a better price. And, if you’re gambling, you get FREE DRINKS. Try looking into the Montecarlo Hotel, they always have specials.
If you can, try and go see the show “O” – at the Bellagio, it’s a little pricey, but worth it. If you pass on that, go over to the MGM Grand and walk around and take a look at the White tigers. Oh, and most hotels have dime and nickel slots, you can sit there for hours and play, and just have fun!
