PLEASE READ if u live in Vegas?
Hi, I am going to be relocating, and I am thinking about Las Vegas, mainly because they pay high salaries. I need a little info from people who live in Vegas!!
What is it like to live here? Is there anything to do OUTSIDE of the club scene? Are their nice areas to do things like hiking/excersing/taking pics of scenery.. etc?? Any lakes? Places to swim? Weekend getaways??
Would it be a good decision to live here? And is it really truly superficial and fake? And if yes than where would be a good place to live that pays good salaries and is laidback, casual and easy to meet people?
Have you even visited here? There is so much more to Vegas than the strip. Locals do not go to the strip very often … the strip is for tourists. There are probably more things to do here than most places. The weather isn’t bad and yes we do have seasonal changes. Where in the US can you go snow skiing in the morning on Mt. Charleston and then water skiing in the afternoon at Lade Meed? Red Rock Canyon is a fantastic place to walk, climb .. horseback ride and the photo opportunities are amazing.
The people here are kind of different. I have found them not as friendly as other parts of the country. It might have to do with the extreme heat here. People don’t just sit out in their yards and meet their neighbors.
Pools are really popular here. Almost every complex has a pool so if you like to swim .. well … long swimming season helps.
