Boracay vacation questions… Accommodation/Airfare?
I’m looking into going on a ten day vacation in Boracay either right before or just after holy week this year, and I’m looking for hotels that can accommodate three or four people for a reasonable price. I was wondering if anyone knew of any villas or apartments that I could find with that number of rooms for around ten days. Also, if anyone knows anything about connecting flights from Manila to Boracay, or knows where I can find a cheap flight from the states, that would be insanely helpful. Thanks.
Was there a particular location within Boracay that you were looking for/price range? Also, the week leading up to holy week is often quite busy and the it quietens down a little bit after holy week and you’ll probably find some better options for accommodation.
Cohiba Boracay Resort and Tanawin Luxury Apartments are on the Bulabog side -they’re very stylish and equipped apartments with amazing views.
On the White Beach side, there’s Boracay Holiday Resort – it’s about 2 mins walk to the beach but so close to everything including the markets… and they have either rooms or “apartment” style accommodation. They’re quite good value for the location and the facilities.
Away from the main hub include Balinghai Beach Resort which is a beautiful and secluded, and have a very “open air” style to their villas/houses and built into the cliff side, or for a spectacular European style resort, is Lingganay Hotel … very private too. Summerset Villas is also another nice getaway – you get a whole house and private beach!
Regarding flights – Cebu Pacific currently seem to be having a sale flying to Caticlan or Kalibo from Manila. Usually Cebu Pacific, Sea Air, AirPhilExpress are the best options. If you fly into Caticlan, bare in mind that it’s a smaller propellor plane allowing 10kg only of luggage, and if you fly into Kalibo, it’s a larger aircraft allowing 15kg, but takes approx 2hours by road to get to the port of Caticlan.
For international flights… depends on where you will be coming from but apparently Delta Air do a lot of good deals, then there’s of course Philippines Airlines (which should be non-stop from LA), or otherwise Qantas, Singapore and Cathay which I believe would all require stopovers in Asia before arriving in Manila.
