Any tips on getting cheap flights/hotels?
A friend & I are planning a long weekend in Fort Myers Beach, FL. I’ve been there twice before & both times stayed at the same hotel. I’ve been pricing though all the major sites…expedia, travelocity, hotels.com, etc & I’m wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions on how to maybe find something cheaper? I’ve tried different airlines too & so far most have been about the same price as expedia. I even tried to look up some condo rentals & things like that but most have a minimum of a week stay…

As for the flight, if booking sites and airlines are too expensive, try to be more flexible with your holiday dates and book as early as possible.
The ITA’s matrix airfares search is very successful in finding the cheapest travel dates (click the “See calendar of lowest fares”option). ITA is just for information, not for booking. you find it here:

Otherwise, the booking sites such as Travelocity give you also the opportunity to find the cheapest flexible dates for domestic flights in the USA
