I need a cheap international flight ASAP how can I find one?
WHy are they sooo expensive!!!?? How can I find one that is under $600???
The reason they’re so expensive is that it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to own a large jet, fill it with fuel, hire a crew to fly it and serve beverages on it, park it at an airport terminal gate, take off, fly across the ocean, land at another airport, pay all the associated fees and taxes for use of these airports, and park at yet another terminal gate so they can let you out, and give your luggage to some guys to schlep down to the baggage claim. All of these expenses have to be split up between the passengers, and leave a little something in profit to make it worth their effort.
To get a good price on an international flight takes a bit of shopping around. First rule: book the flight as far in advance as possible (2 months or so). Try to plan it for a “low season” time of year, such as September-October, or February-March. Look for flights mid-week, especially Wednesday, for the best fares. Search on a travel site such as travelocity or orbitz, to find out which airline is going to have the best price. Then go to that airline’s website and do a more extensive search. Most of them let you search “+/-3 days” which will give you a 7-by-7 grid showing the best prices for each departure date with each return date. Sometimes a nonstop flight costs more than one with a layover, sometimes not. But you should consider the extra hassle and the money you’ll spend on food at the airport, so if the price difference is less than $50 or so, it’s definitely worth the extra money for the nonstop flight.

American Airlines Flight 11 $135.42 American Airlines Flight 11 was a scheduled U.S. domestic passenger flight from Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, to Los Angeles International Airport. It was hijacked by five Islamic terrorists and deliberately crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City as part of the September 11, 2001, attacks. Fifteen minutes into the flight, the hijackers injured at least three people, forcefully breached the cockpit, and overpowered the pilot and first officer. Mohamed Atta, who was a known member of alQaeda, and trained as a pilot, took over the controls. Air traffic controllers noticed the flight was in distress when the crew stopped responding to them. They realized the flight had been hijacked when Atta mistakenly transmitted announcements for passengers to air traffic control. On board, two flight attendants contacted American Airlines, and provided information about the hijackers and injuries to passengers and crew. The aircraft crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 08:46 local time; the impact killed all 92 people aboard, including the hijackers.
