Can the captain of a cuise ship marry me?
I was just wondering. My mom, fiance and I are planning a cruise to Italy in November on a major corporate cruise line. My mom said we could get married on the ship, but I don’t think we can. It would be ridiculous to try to plan, plus, I don’t think captains can preform weddings anymore. Is it just a “days-of-yore” thing or am i wrong?
I’m getting married on the Disney cruise and the captain is marrying us. If its a major cruise line they probably have information on their web site. For us it will be way easier and more hassle free to let them do the majority of the work.

Cruise Ship $58.94 A cruise ship or cruise liner is a passenger ship used for pleasure voyages, where the voyage itself and the ships amenities are part of the experience. Cruising has become a major part of the tourism industry, with millions of passengers each year. The industrys rapid growth has seen nine or more newly built ships catering to a North American clientele added every year since 2001, as well as others servicing European clientele. Cruise ships operate mostly on routes that return passengers to their originating port. Some cruise ships also engage in longer trips which may not lead back to the same port for many months (longer round trips).
