What’s the best way to arrive in Fort Lauderdale and get cruise from Miami?
Our flight is going to Fort Lauderdale but the cruise is leaving from Miami the next day. I had the Ramada in Fort Lauderdale booked to pick us up from the airport and then bring us to cruise the next day. The reviews were okay, but now I keep seeing all these reviews that are one star, saying “stay anywhere but here!” and talking about flies, ants, dirty linens and all sorts of horrors. I’m not feeling so great about the choice now. Any opinions on the best inexpensive way to do this?
Far better to get transport from FLL to downtown Miami & stay there overnight. Then you can relax & not have the transport hassle on departure day. It also costs less because transport from FLL to downtown Miami is cheaper than from a FT.Ldle hotel & the port is right downtown.
A cab will run about $75-$80 + tip.
Go Airport Shuttle is the contract shared ride carrier from FLL. They are advertising a rate of about $20.00 a person to Port of Miami or to anywhere in downtown Miami You can pick them up outside arrivals (Look for the dispatcher with “Go Shuttle” on his shirt.)
