Is two days going to be enough in Barcelona? Or should I spend those two days in Southern France instead?
I’ve got about 4 or 5 days to fill in a trip to the South of France, between the end of the Nice Carnaval and my flight from Marseille. Figured I’d like to go to Barcelona, as I’ll miss out on that city when I go to Spain later. But for how long?
I can go to Barcelona for 2 days, with the remaining time spent visiting random southern French cities, staying based in Nice.
or
4 days, skipping all that Southern Frenchness.
Given that I’m pretty well travelled, am I likely to find enough to distract myself in Barcelona, once I’ve visited the Sa Grada Familia, and walked the streets?
Going to Barcelona’s going to be cheaper (overnight buses on promo are going to cost the same as a night in a hostel, each way, and travel in France is just stupidly expensive), so I’m thinking that’s the way to go. But, hey, I want to hear from some travellers, get their recommendations.
I went to Barcelona last July for 4days. For me, I find it quite boring. I went using those travel books just in case i miss out something and I mean, theres just so much of Gaudi’s Building and thats it. I felt that they are more or less the same since they are all from the same architect.
If you are going for 2nd time and really keen on going, then go 2days.
