What gift do I give for my family in China?
China makes everything, or it’s cheaper. I’m going back to China for vacation this summer and I want to know what can I get here that might cost more or more of a “luxury” item in China.
I’m thinking cosmetics for my cousin or Chocolate. (I heard Chinese chocolate barely taste like the real chocolate)
I don’t have a limit but…100 dollars? I’m a student and always broke=3

First, make sure whatever you get is NOT made in China! 
I go through this dilemma every time I go to the States and try to bring back gifts for Chinese friends.
Red, white and blue American candy. I buy these in specialty candy shops. (Jelly Belly, toffees, salt water candy, mints, etc.)
State quarters. These are a HUGE hit over here! These are best when in a coin book.
Since 2008 was such a big year in China (Olympics), a coin set all dated 2008. Quarter, nickel, dime, penny. You can check things like this out at

Nice American hand lotions (or British) make good gifts for women. The air can get really dry in many parts of China.
Specialty items from your area. For example, if you are from the Deep South, the pecan pralines would be nice. If you are from Texas or the Northeast, then a regional item from those locations would be appreciated.
