Planning a solo trip to Miami, Florida?
I’ve been looking at packages for hotel + flights , and most of the websites are flying me into Fort Lauderdale. How much more convenient is it to fly into Fort Lauderdale? I see that its cheaper but most hotels have a free shuttle bus to and from the airport but I believe its for the Miami International Airport. Also how far is Fort Lauderdale for Miami and the beach?
I have been there many times and I personally prefer Ft. Lauderdale airport. It’s less hectic and less expensive. There is a shuttle service right outside the airport that will take you to Miami (along with other passengers. It’s cheaper that way, about $20 or so). If you want this service to pick you back up when you return you need to call them at least 48 hours in advance. If you take a cab from there it will be about $80, take the shuttle. Ft. Lauderdale is not far from Miami at all. About 30 minutes to North Miami, about and hour for South Beach.
