Advice for our California-East Coast road trip?
Ok, in a few months, me and 4 other guys from Scotland are going on road trip from Sacramento, CA to east coast for just under 2 months. We have about a few thousand pounds each and route planned more or less. However, we were wondering about a few things:
1) Is it worth going out of our way to visit Atlanta, GA?
2) Is £3500 each enough money, excluding flights.
3) Should we rent a Hertz car or buy an old cheap car for less?
4) Once we get to Florida,should we go south and finish in Miami or go North and finish in NYC?
5) Would it be cheaper to buy a cheap RV and save on hotel costs?
6) How will us Scots be seen in America? Do Americans like Scottish guys?

1. atlanta is mostly african american people. i would go there to see WORLD OF COCA COLA
2. 3500 pounds = $5,553.80 * 5 = TOTAL $27750
60 days and $75 for hotel per day = $4500 * 2 rooms = ($9000)
for fuel or petrol as you guys call it = ($600)
5 guys * $25 for food per day * 60 days = ($7500)
toll roads = insignificant amount maybe ($300)
car rental = ($3500)
3. buying and selling a unreliable car is too much trouble, you need to rent without a doubt and negotiate a good price, maybe even put up an ad on craigslist to rent from a private party. make sure you have insurance! If you can get a decent RV that would save you 9k in hotels, so that’s the best plan.
4. go to miami for sure, especially if you are coming during spring time.

6. we love foreigners, especially when they have accents, get ready for lots of pussy at the bars. we just can’t stand when people talk shit about us…when someone asks you should lie and say you love it here.
