Should I pay the money to gurantee my partner and I can sit together on a BA flight to Orlando in August?
I have just booked flights to Orlando next August. We are flying out economy and returning WT+ (only because the price to upgrade was very cheap) I did not realise that you had to pay extra to sit together and am feeling quite miffed! what would you recommend in regards to risking leaving it. Also I noted you can not book exit seats yet. If i pay the £20 to sit together do I then have to pay the £50 on top to book exit seats?? Its so confusing
I work for BA so hopefully am giving you the very best answer – our Orlando flights are always one of the busiest routes but if there are just 2 of you I wouldn’t really worry too much about being seperated. If you were a large family or Tour group travelling it is very different but the crew will always try to help anyone with moving seats around. The bulkhead seats that most people want as they have extra legroom are where the baby bassinets are so they are always prioritised to people travelling with infants. This only leaves 4 seats really that are at the overwing exits which have the biggest amount of leg room so those will go to somebody paying for them. I would say as somebody else suggested to just go online as soon as you can – 24 hours before departure and choose the nicest seats you like. In WT+ all the seats have got that much extra room you don’t need to worry. Hope you have a fantastic holiday.
