Which Alaska cruise should I take with my 16 y/o in mid-July?
I’m a single mom (49 y/o) and the two of us will have just a week.
It seems as if the choices are:
1) Holland America: Seems like the best itinerary, but will the crowd be too old?;
2) Celebrity: Reviews I’ve read say it’s an old ship; itinerary seems ok; or
3) Princess: Seems like it would have a good teen program; the itinerary seems very good but it’s a lot more expensive to fly into and out of different cities.
I’ve been on two cruises before (a long time ago), don’t care about the shows on board or about the food (too much). I’d just like to relax, see beautiful Alaska, and hope that my son has fun too.

If you take me I’ll tell you. LOL j/p I am very young so being around an older crown my be a tad bit boring. The older ship doesn’t sound bad because All ships have to be at a certain standard to be boarded. If you want your child to have a good time go with the Princess this way you will not be exhausted in trying to keep up with your child just to keep him/her entertained. Hope I helped a tad bit coming from a younger perspective.
