Caribbean Honeymoons – Best Time to Go, Best Time to Stay
With so many incredible things to see and do, along with the excellent weather and the relaxed pace of life, a honeymoon in the Caribbean is often the perfect option for couples who’ve just tied the knot. But when is the best time to go, and how long should you stay for? Here’s a quick guide to help you plan your honeymoon properly.
Best Time to Go
Caribbean honeymoons will be affected by the different seasons, which each have different pros and cons. It will be up to you when you decide to go on your honeymoon, so think carefully about the different options available to you. The high season is from January to mid-April, but the most expensive and popular time to visit is the holiday season from mid-December to the beginning of January. The Caribbean is primarily a winter destination, so you will have more chance of enjoying perfect weather if you go then.
The holiday season is a lot more expensive for everything, from accommodation to tours to restaurants. However, on the plus side, everything will be operating and there will be lots of activity. During the low season from June to the end of August, things will be cheaper and less crowded, but not everything will be open. However, because of the lower prices you may be able to pay less for a more exclusive resort which might be worth looking at. However, be warned that June to November is the hurricane season, and Caribbean honeymoons at this time of year might provide you with a few different memories from the ones you are hoping for.
How Long to Stay
The short answer to how long you should stay in the Caribbean is – as long as you can. With Caribbean honeymoons, you will want yours to last forever so, certainly, don’t be in any rush to go back home. However there are some factors which can get in the way of how long Caribbean honeymoons will last. Money will be one, although remember that a honeymoon is the one time when you really want to splash out, so don’t let money be too much of a barrier. On top of that though, you’ll also have commitments back home which will effect how long you can stay. Remember that although there is plenty to see and do on Caribbean honeymoons, you can’t do everything. If you go for a few weeks, try to just pick a few highlights and focus on these and you will enjoy them more than if you try to do too much. That way you can plan your trip in advance and you won’t be disappointed when you return home.
Enjoy a Fantastic Honeymoon
Caribbean honeymoons are perfect for getting away and relaxing after the stress of getting married. Think carefully about when to plan your wedding and honeymoon to ensure you arrive during the right season; plan your trip carefully beforehand to make sure you see everything you need to – and you’ll be sure to have the time of your life.
