Am I allowed more than one carry on bag on United and Alaskan airlines?
Okay, so this Sunday I’m flying from Norfolk VA to Kona HI. (I’ll switch airlines at Seattle.)
I am going to pack a suitcase with clothes and that type of thing. For my carry-on, I was going to pack a small bag with my laptop and a change of clothes (and put it in the overhead bin), and another bag with books, my camera, drawing paper, etc. (and store it under my seat so I can access it easily)
Is that okay, or is it not allowed? I asked my aunt (who I’m going to visit there) if it was and she said yes; when I checked United’s page, they said you can only have one carry-on bag in addition to your checked suitcase.
I’m only 15 and I haven’t flown since I was really little, so any advice would be appreciated.
Can’t speak for Alaska Airlines, but when I fly United they have no problem with me carrying on a backpack for under the seat and another small bag in the overhead bin. Since you’re female you can definitely get away with one carry-on and a large purse if you’re concerned. Just bear in mind TSA is going to make you take out your laptop and turn it on when you go through security.
