How is traveling to a cruisse to Alaska on September?
Hi: My boyfriend and I from Mexico wanted to go to a cruisse to Alaska on September. Some people told us that it wouldnt be nice. We want to know and ask people that had traveled in that month to Alaska or that lived in Alaska how would it be.
Can we see all the amazing buildings and there is tourism? Please help us.
Thanks and regards,
I have never been on a cruise to Alaska but I have lived here in Alaska for 10 years. Alaska is amazing. truly beautiful. We have only gotten over 65 degrees a few times this summer and there has been more rain than normal. I would wear and bring warm clothes. Polar fleece winter jacket with outer wind breaker and fleece gloves and a hat. July is usually nicer but this summer I really don’t think it matters. It’s been cold and wet all summer. I would definitely do it. I would love to go on an Alaskan cruise and I live here! Try to get train tickets up to Denali and take a bus tour in Denali if you have time. You will see lots of things. I lived in Ketchikan for 4 years and it’s very neat, lots of totem poles and Eagles. Seward, exit glacier and the seward sea-life center. Hope this helps.
Alaska is perfect for spirited and scenic adventures

Tourism Marketing in Chandiagarh $103.56 Cultural/heritage tourism is the fastest growing segment of the tourism industry because there is a trend toward an increased specialization among tourists. This trend is evident in the rise in the volume of tourists who seek adventure, culture, history, archaeology and interaction with local people. The recent studies about cultural/heritage tourism focused on the characteristics of tourists who visited cultural/heritage destinations. The study attempts to investigate the relationship between cultural/heritage destination attributes and tourist satisfaction, and to identify the relationship between cultural/heritage destination attributes and tourist satisfaction in terms of selected tourists demographic characteristics and travel behavior characteristics. The expectancydisconfirmation theory provided a conceptual framework for this study. International Tourism: Identity and Change $92.07 Tourism is becoming an increasingly prominent feature of contemporary life. More of us travel for pleasure than ever before, yet the social scientific literature on tourism is relatively scant. This book provides an original contribution to the field of tourist studies. The contributors to International Tourism reconceptualize the local and the global, avoiding such crude oppositions as centre v periphery, modern v traditional, macro v micro and North v South. Instead, they demonstrate that the local cannot be understood without the global, and that the global can never be isolated from the regional setting within which it operates. Providing new insights into theories of touristic practice, this volume place Author: Lanfant, MarieFancoise/ Allcock, John B./ Bruner, Edward M. Mountain Based Adventure Tourism $154.53 As the global industry of tourism evolves, a prominent niche market that is experiencing exponential growth is adventure tourism. This sector places a particular emphasis upon the accumulation of symbolic capital most obviously in the way it connects culturally diffuse ideas of adventure, wildness and travel. This departure from convention demands a different framework of investigation to existing tourism theory. This book is concerned with understanding the way people enter into a commodity exchange process that generates forms of capital which provide the building blocks of identity formation. The analysis draws on ethnographic data to illuminate the complexity of identity formation in mountaineering whereby existing traditional values are challenged by the influx of people whose currency allows them to bypass established protocols of mountaineering apprenticeship. Understanding these fluid and dynamic social processes should be of particular interest to adventure tour operators but also anyone interested in the relationship between sport, physical activity, lifestyle and identity.
