Alaska Cruise and Land Tour?

We are going to Alaska this summer is going to Alaska. We checked with princess – cruise price was okay, but the Land tour 5 days were very expensive. Anyone out there that have experience the Princess cruise tour. Should we do our separate land tour instead of booking all through Princess. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Princess is ranked # 1 in Alaska for cruise tours. They are the only line that puts you up in 5 star lodges. I have sailed with them on cruise tours 17 times and never had a single complaint. I also looked into doing a cruise and then going on my own. The cost was almost double when you figure in Transportation, food, lodging etc. You can look at grey Line. They run all bus tours in Alaska and also have many other choices. Also renting a RV sounds great until you figure out all the costs. Dollar for dollar you will not be sorry for going with Princess. Denali is Amazing. You stand outside your lodge and a shuttle pick you up and takes you where ever you want to go. You do have a choice of either the train or bus ride from Whitter to Denali. Have done both and you will see amazing scenery on your cruise as well, as on land tour.
