Alaska weather…Best months to visit?
We will be cruising to Alaska next year and have been debating about when to go. We are planning on a cruise and then doing about 5-6 days on land either via tour or on our own. (not by car though…already decided that one).
I have heard vastly different accounts of the weather depending on who I talk to. One person says September, another May. Someone told me they traveled in late June last year and it was so cold and windy (blew umbrellas inside out) they could hardly be outside.
I don’t expect the tropics, but we were thinking about alot of outdoor activities including white water rafting so something fairly temperate and dry would be nice. Am I expecting too much?? 
Appreciate any input on weather or any other aspect. My husband wants some good sea or boat fishing too. If any suggestions throw them my way.
