i would like a Cruise with some land tours, around July 18,2011 for around 10 to 15 days and 2 to 3 days extra in Vancuver
I recommend talking to a travel agent that specializes in cruises. A good travel agent will have all of the information you require and can easily check multiple lines to get both the best deal and the best accommodation. What you are looking for is called a cruise tour and most, if not all, major lines that operate on the Alaska cruise route offer them. There are two types of cruises, ones that return to the port they depart from and those that travel from A to B. For example from Seattle to Seward, Alaska. It is this type that offers the cruise tour which can be at the beginning or the end of the actual cruise followed by a flight home.
As cruises do tend to fill up rapidly you need to get working on this asap and honestly no one on here can give you as good information as a travel agent. They can go over what ships are operating on the Alaska route, what age ranges they cater to, and most important, what types of accommodation is still available on the various ships. As someone who has cruised that route before I know what I want but for my first cruise I dealt through a travel agent and that made my first cruise a lot easier and a lot more enjoyable.
