ALASKA cruise in August…any advice? weather…what to bring..etc.?
In August im taking a cruise to Alaska. Im just wondering if anyone has any advice on the weather or what I should bring and do. Thanks!
Take layers. It is sometimes cool outside on the ship. Bring a water repellent jacket or hip-length coat and a hat of some sort (for the rain). People don’t really get dressed up on ships much anymore, so be comfortable but don’t dress like you’re at the beach. Take advantage of all the side trips that you can afford and know that they fill up quickly so don’t dawdle about signing up for them. The wildlife side trips especially are terrific. EVERYTHING is fun. You’ll have a blast! Take mini-binoculars and a decent camera too!
