Vietnam Backpacking – How long to go for to see the most and where to go?
I’m wanting to go to Vietnam and I was wondering if anyone with some experience could give me an idea of places to go and hotels to stay in? And how long I would need to go for the best experience. I don’t have the luxury of the 5 star hotels or what not but if there’s any spectacular places to stay maybe would like to know.

for now i would say go for at least 2 weeks, travel by plane,bus ,and overnight train, for your 1st time visit the main tourist areas and spread out from there ..go to sai gon , nha trang ,hue , hoi an ,ha noi..if you have more time go to ha long bay and sapa[out of ha noi]
get a tetanus shot before you go , take antibiotics, Imodium, and Dramamine with you,
